Research interests

My scientific interests are in systematics of plants and fungi. I mainly work with molecular phylogenies to analyze species delimitation, phylogenetic relationships and distribution pattern of certain plant and fungal groups. I studied bromeliads and wrote my PhD thesis on this topic. Currently, I am working together with my colleague Ursula Eberhardt (SMNS) on the fungal genus Hebeloma.
