Die Rolle des Ovipositors bei der Evolution und Diversifizierung parasitischer Wespen
Die Evolution des Ovipositors spielt eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Evolution und Diversifizierung der parasitären Wespen. Anhand mehrerer monophyletischer und biologisch vielfältiger Untergruppen der Chalcidoidea teste ich verschiedene Hypothesen, um die Mechanismen zu klären, die der Evolution der Insektenparasitoiden zugrunde liegen, und um allgemeine Muster aufzudecken, die die globale Vielfalt dieser Insektengruppe geprägt haben.

Das Projekt konzentriert sich auf die Evolution der Familie Torymidae, morphologische Anpassungen an die Wirtsnutzung und die Koevolution zwischen Parasitoiden und ihren Wirten.
