Special library for botany, zoology, paleontology and geology/mineralogy

The scientific reference library is primarily used by museum’s staff, visiting scientists and students.
Located in the administrative building of “Museum am Löwentor”,the library comprises over 130.000 volumes and subscribes to more than 1400 periodicals and about 160 e-journals.

Visitors interested in scientific literature are asked to make an appointment during opening hours.
A book scanner (USB-stick necessary) and a copier are available.

Electronic Journals Library (EZB)

• The complete holdings of e-journals are recorded in the Electronic Journals Library. Full texts are accessible on the museum’s premises.
