Dear visitors,

Due to the installation of our next special exhibition, "Triassic Life", at the Museum am Löwentor, parts of the permanent exhibition will be closed from 18.08.-16.10.2025. The areas affected are "Paleozoic Era", "Buntsandstein", "Muschelkalk" and "Lower Keuper".
Our exhibition on the lower floor will remain accessible as usual!

Please note that from 18.08. onwards, prams will not be allowed in the exhibition at the Museum am Löwentor. A pram parking area is set up on the forecourt for this purpose.

Sat / Son / holidays: 10-18 Uhr
Mon:closed

On public holidays the opening hours are the same as for the weekend (10-18 h), even if the holiday is on a Monday.

The museum will be open on Easter Monday.

The museum is closed on the following public holidays: December 24th, 25th and 31st. On New Year (January 1st) our museum will be open from 13-18 h.
