Important notice opening hours:

Due to an event, Schloss Rosenstein will be closed from 4 pm on 18 July. The last admission is during the 14-14:30 time slot.

Due to the dismantling of the special exhibition “Triassic Life – Dawn of the age of reptiles”, the Museum am Löwentor will be completely closed from28.07.-29.07.! In the days following this, there may still be closures of parts of the exhibition or noise disturbance due to the dismantling work. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

Dear visitors,

due to high demand, we recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to avoid waiting at the ticket office.
We kindly request groups of 15 or more to purchase their tickets online on weekends, public holidays and during school holidays, as we cannot guarantee joint admission otherwise when visitor numbers are high.

Please note our changed entrace fees at Museum am Löwentor during the special exhibition "Triassic Life – Dawn of the age of reptiles" 17.10.2025-26.07.2026.
This also applies to 12-months-ticket owners.

During the special exhibition, "Triassic Life", at the Museum am Löwentor the area "Paleozoic Era" is not accessible.

Please note that prams are currently not allowed in the exhibition at the Museum am Löwentor. A pram parking area is set up on the forecourt for this purpose.

On public holidays the opening hours are the same as for the weekend (10-18 h), even if the holiday is on a Monday.

The museum is closed on the following public holidays: December 24th, 25th and 31st. On New Year (January 1st) our museum will be open from 13-18 h.
