The Scientific Advisory Board supports the Natural History Museum Stuttgart in developing and strengthening its scientific profile. Its internationally recognised researchers and museum directors bring pioneering perspectives from Germany and abroad, helping the museum to shape its research, collections and partnerships for the future. Together, the Board’s members advise the museum’s directorate, thereby strengthening independent quality management, strategic vision and international networks of the Natural History Museum Stuttgart.
The Board’s responsibilities
The Scientific Advisory Board:
- advises on the museum’s strategic planning
- makes recommendations on staff development, support of early-career researchers and quality management
- supports the expansion of national and international partnerships
- reviews the annual report of the Natural History Museum Stuttgart
- supports the appointment of scientific leadership positions
