State Museum of Natural History Stuttgart – Science Blog

Everyone knows our exhibitions at the Museum am Löwentor and Schloss Rosenstein. But what happens behind the scenes? Where we store around twelve million collection objects from four centuries, from fleas to dinosaurs, in hundreds of square metres of storage space? Where we run numerous specialised laboratories for elaborate specimen preparation and analysis? Where about 45 in-house scientists conduct research and where additional biologists and palaeontologists from all over the world work on individual projects year after year?

The most visible proof of our research efforts are our countless publications in scientific journals, read primarily by the global community of scientists who continue to work with these results.

We think that is not enough! What we research is so exciting that it is of interest to many. Hence, the Stuttgart Science Blog: Live research, directly out of the Stuttgart Natural History Museum!
