Schloss Rosenstein
The special exhibition "Tönende Tiere" combines art, music and nature in a fascinating way. Life-size and larger-than-life sculptures of native animals are acoustically accompanied by their respective noises or songs – and in an unusual way, because here real animal voices are transformed into minimal techno sounds!
A variety of everyday objects form the basis for around 50 life-size and larger-than-life animal sculptures. In this special kind of upcycling, the artist Matthias Garff has designed native animal species – and always in such a way that the sculpture resembles the original animal. The special exhibition is rounded off with the sounds of the respective animals. The well-known biologist and DJ Dominik Eulberg took the animal sounds as a basis and used them to create electronic soundscapes. An experience for all senses!
In addition, the exhibition consistently focusses on ecological sustainability and resource-saving handling, thus contributing to the preservation of biodiversity.
After your visit to the exhibition, hopefully your eyes – and ears – will be wide open as you stroll through Rosenstein Park. Because who knows which "sounding animals" can be heard here! Perhaps the nightingale, or perhaps the lark?
