Forschungsprofil

Ich interessiere mich allgemein für die Mechanismen, die zur Artbildung (Speziation) führen, sowie für die Rolle der Biogeographie bei der Gestaltung der Biodiversität. Meine Forschung verbindet Evolutionsbiologie, Museomik und Paläogenomik, um zu verstehen, wie Artgrenzen über lange Zeiträume hinweg aufrechterhalten werden – selbst angesichts von Klimaveränderungen. Durch die Kombination räumlicher und zeitlicher genomischer Ansätze möchte ich ein tieferes Verständnis dafür entwickeln, wie sich Biodiversität über dynamische Landschaften hinweg entwickelt und langfristig bestehen bleibt.
